TikTok opened direct posting to third-party tools in 2022, and the category still has not fully caught up. Plenty of schedulers list TikTok on the logo strip and then hand you a push notification at the scheduled time. You open the app, the video is waiting in drafts, you write the caption again, you hit post. That is not scheduling.
The tools below publish directly. Where there are caveats, they are listed, because TikTok has more of them than any other network.
The caveats nobody puts on the pricing page
Direct publishing requires an unaudited-client warning to be cleared, which means videos posted from a tool that hasn’t finished TikTok’s review land as private and have to be flipped manually. Every serious tool here has cleared it, but newer entrants sometimes haven’t, and it is worth asking before you buy.
Sounds are the other limit. You cannot attach a trending TikTok audio track through the API. If a sound is central to the video, it has to be baked into the file before upload, or added in-app. No tool solves this, and any that claims to is describing something else.
Photo carousels and Stitches also stay manual. Plain video posts with a caption, hashtags and a privacy setting are what the API covers well.
1. SchedPilot
SchedPilot publishes to TikTok directly and prices flat, which is the combination that matters if TikTok is one of several networks you are feeding. Gold at $35 a month covers twenty accounts. Most people cutting Shorts and Reels from the same source video are posting to at least four places, and per-channel billing punishes exactly that behaviour.
It handles TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, LinkedIn, X, Facebook, Threads, Bluesky and Pinterest. The MCP server is the differentiator if you want an agent queueing clips rather than doing it yourself. No free plan, seven-day trial, card required.
2. Publer
Publer is the cheapest way into proper TikTok scheduling if you have a handful of accounts. Professional is $5 for the first account and $4 for each one after, so three accounts is $13 and five is $21. Bulk CSV upload takes 500 rows, which is the fastest way to load a month of clips.
The Professional plan has no analytics at all, and its AI features want your own OpenAI key. Moving to Business for analytics roughly doubles the bill, at which point the value argument weakens considerably.
3. Metricool
Worth listing because Metricool includes TikTok on the free plan, twenty posts a month, one brand. For a small account testing whether short-form is worth the effort, that is a real answer rather than a trial.
Its TikTok analytics are also better than most, which matters on a platform where the view counts move fast enough that a weekly export tells you something.
4. Later
Later handles TikTok well and its media library is the best organised of anything here, which starts to matter once you have two hundred clips and need to find the one from March. Starter is $25 a month, $18.75 annually, after a 14-day trial. There is no free plan any more.
5. Vista Social
Vista Social has a free plan covering three profiles and one user, which is unusual at this point in the category. Paid plans start around $39 a month and approval workflows arrive at $79. It supports TikTok properly and throws in a reasonable amount of listening and review management for the money.
6. SocialBee
SocialBee’s category-based evergreen recycling is the distinctive thing here. You sort content into buckets, set a schedule per bucket, and it cycles through. For TikTok specifically this is less useful than it is for X or LinkedIn, because re-uploading the same video is a bad idea. But if TikTok sits alongside networks where recycling works, it is a sensible home. Bootstrap is $29 a month, $24 annually, for five profiles.
How to pick
One TikTok account
Metricool free, or Publer at $5. Do not buy a $79 platform to feed one account, however good its reporting looks in the demo.
A creator posting the same video to four networks
This is the case for a flat plan. SchedPilot Silver at $21 covers five accounts with analytics included. Publer at the same price gives you five accounts without analytics.
An agency running client TikTok accounts
You need approvals, because posting an unapproved video to a client’s TikTok is a worse phone call than any other network. Vista Social at $79 or SocialPilot Standard at $40 for ten accounts and three users. SchedPilot Enterprise at $79 gets you a hundred accounts and ten seats if the roster is large.
What TikTok’s API will and will not do
Worth setting out properly, because the limits are the same whichever tool you pick and vendors are vague about them.
What works reliably: uploading a video file, setting a caption with hashtags and mentions, choosing the privacy level, and toggling comments, duet and stitch permissions. That covers the ordinary case completely.
What does not work anywhere: attaching a sound from TikTok’s library, posting a photo carousel, creating a Stitch or Duet, adding text overlays or effects, and tagging products in TikTok Shop. If a tool claims any of these, it is either describing something narrower than you think or doing something TikTok will eventually block.
The practical consequence is that sound-led content has to be finished in the app. Bake your audio into the file at the editing stage and you keep scheduling; rely on picking a trending sound at publish time and you are posting manually.
Repurposing across short-form networks
Most people scheduling TikTok are also posting the same clip to Reels and Shorts, and that is where tool choice actually gets decided.
Three things to check before subscribing. Whether the tool re-encodes your video, because some compress hard enough to be visible and there is no setting to stop it. Whether you can vary the caption per network, since TikTok hashtags and YouTube Shorts descriptions are different jobs. And whether it strips the watermark, which it will not, so export clean files from your editor rather than saving from the TikTok app.
That last point catches people constantly. A video saved out of TikTok carries a watermark, and Instagram has historically suppressed watermarked uploads. No scheduler fixes this. Export from your editing app, once, and upload the clean file everywhere.
For a creator doing this daily across four networks, the flat-rate argument is the whole reason SchedPilot sits at the top of this list: the same clip going to nine places should not cost nine times as much.
Frequently asked questions
Can TikTok videos be scheduled without a phone?
Yes, through tools with TikTok API access, and also through TikTok’s own web uploader, which schedules up to ten days ahead for free. The web uploader is fine for one account and useless for several.
Will scheduled TikToks get less reach?
There is no evidence they do. The claim circulates constantly and never comes with data. What does affect reach is upload quality, and videos pushed through a scheduler are sometimes recompressed, so check the file size of what actually landed the first few times.
Can I add trending sounds to a scheduled TikTok?
Not through any scheduler. TikTok does not expose its sound library to the API. Either bake the audio into the file first, or accept that sound-led videos have to be posted from the app.
What is the cheapest way to schedule TikTok posts?
TikTok’s own scheduler, at nothing, if one account and ten days of lead time is enough. Otherwise Metricool free, then Publer at $5 a month, then SchedPilot Silver at $21 once you have five accounts to feed.
